Welcome to Katie Louise Yoga!
My goal in life is to enjoy a very happy and healthy life, and through my teaching I wish to motivate and give others a renewed enthusiasm for their wellbeing to show that there is the possibility to let go, silence the chatting of the mind, along with building strength and flexibility within the body. I wish to help others, encouraging a responsibility for healthy eating, inner strength and inspire a life that is full of love and positive intention.
Having experienced anxiety, depression and frequent panic attacks, I began to look into holistic ways to help and discovered yoga. Along my journey I found that the asana practice was not only making a difference to me physically but I found an internal strength too. I felt more alive and was able to bring my attention back to the breath in times of anxiety. Yoga has taught me so much about myself, how to look after myself emotionally and physically as well as how I interact with people and the world around me.
Having worked in the 'rat race', done the commuting, working long hours, and as a parent, I understand the fullness of our everyday lives. It keeps us running from here to there, and before you know it, a day, a week, a month passes by, and you have no idea where that time has gone. I believe that taking time out for yourself, is not something that we should just "fit in". It is a necessity for our personal well-being so that we can be the best person we can be.
Everyone is welcome to my classes, whether it is the first time you are trying yoga, stepping back on the mat after a break, or looking to challenge yourself deeper in your practice.
I offer dynamic evening yoga classes and a chilled daytime class including meditation time and relaxation in West Buckland, Somerset, as well as workshops, special events and retreats.
